Epo-Stik 19 is a heavy viscosity epoxy that functions as a general use adhesive in a number of different applications for bonding to concrete and metal substrates. It exhibits better than average chemical resistance, making it an ideal choice in industrial and chemical environments. It is a heavy bodied mastic that is usually applied with a trowel or putty knife. The resin and catalyst must be thoroughly mixed for at least three minutes (by hand or via mechanical stirring) in a ratio of 1:1 by volume to achieve full bonding strength. The surfaces to be bonded should be thoroughly cleaned and be free from all loose debris and dust. Though the epoxy will set in about an hour at room temperature, full physical strengths will be achieved after 48 hours. Do no mix any solvents or thinners with the epoxy, as this will drastically reduce the performance and strength of the bond.
